Helping You be You
As long as I can remember I loved to hear people's stories and help them see and create alternative stories that allow their true selves to shine. I spent part of my life living overseas and interacting with individuals from many countries and cultures and this has informed my thinking that many of our stressors come from external values and ideas being imposed on us. I enjoy helping you look at these imposed values and expectations so you can self select and identify your own values and build your life stories around your unique and authentic self.
I have over 20 years experience in a variety of settings with a focus on transitional stages in life, gender and sexual diversity, managing stress, depression, anxiety and substance use issues.
I come from a post-structuralist Narrative perspective and also have significant training in Queer theory, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Trauma Informed and Culturally Aware services.
